Fire District Official Oath Of Office

Public Fire District Officers are required to take the constitutional oath of office and to file it with the appropriate official or officer within 30 days of taking office to properly qualify to hold their office and to avoid their office being rendered vacant. Fire district officers including fire commissioners, fire district treasurers, fire district secretaries, fire district deputy treasurers,and fire district directors of purchasing are required to take and file an oath of office. The oath of office must be signed in the presents of a notary public and filed with the Town Clerk(s).
