Today’s AFDSNY Fire Commissioner Training in Rochester, NY

The AFDSNY wants to thank the Brighton Fire District in Rochester, NY for allowing the AFDSNY to host 34 Commissioners from seven counties for the Association NYS mandatory commissioner training for newly elected, reelected and appointed commissioners as they start their terms in office. The commissioners training was presented by were Raymond S. DiRaddo, Esq.. You may recognize Ray’s name as the author of “New York Fire District Officers guide” which is a definitive how to guide to assist fire district officials to remain in compliance with NYS law while performing all your management duties. Also in attendance were AFDSNY 1st Vice President Ken Preston and AFDSNY Directors Tim Warth and Tom Link.

Thanks to everyone who registered and participated. Thanks again to the members and commissioners of the Brighton Fire District, and Ray for another outstanding training experience. We also want to thank and acknowledge the support that the Associations staff, officers and instructors attorneys for helping making today a success.

Anyone that does NOT comply with ALL safety protocols will be asked to leave the premises immediately and will not receive a refund for their registration fees.
