Leon "Butch" Clodgo - December 31, 1946 - January 7, 2022

Leon Henry "Butch" Clodgo, 75, of Clinton Street, Keeseville, died unexpectedly, Friday, January 7, 2022 at his home.

He was born in Plattsburgh, December 31, 1946, the son of Henry, Sr. and Kathleen (Martin) Clodgo. Butch graduated from Keeseville High School in 1964 and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served his country proudly until his honorable discharge in 1967. Following the service he married the former Rosemary Brunk in 1968.

Butch was a maintenance supervisor. He began his career at SUNY Plattsburgh and was later promoted which took him to Clinton Correctional and later to a prison in Malone to assist with the opening. He was again promoted and moved back to Plattsburgh State to finish his career. He then drove school bus for 10 years.

Butch was a 47 year member of the Keeseville Fire Dept. and a longtime member of the Keeseville Elks Lodge #2072.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid NASCAR fan.

Left to cherish the memory of Butch are, his wife, Rosemary Clodgo; two sons, Jeffrey of Keeseville, and David (Candice) of Raleigh, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Sarah and Kristina; brothers, Richard (Sandy) of Keeseville, and Robert of North Carolina.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Henry "Spike" and Martin.

At Butch's request there will be no public calling hours or services. Burial will be in the spring in the Port Douglas Cemetery.
